VIVO AL VENTI is a intervention for the recovery and redevelopment of a historic building protected by the Superintendency, designed by Arch. Juvarra. The initiative has 46 housing units built and distributed over 6 floors above ground.
The building preserves the original constructive and typological features with vertical load-bearing structures in solid masonry, pitched roofs and roof covering in tiles. The fronts adorned with valuable moldings are finished in smooth plaster and painted in two-tone gray tones for the background, and ocher for the decorative apparatus composed of giant order pilasters, string-course bands and friezes with triglyphs and medallions of various make. The windows and French doors have a rectangular opening and are surmounted by triangular and rectilinear tympanums; the balconies are made of stone slabs and wrought iron railings. The ground floor is characterized on piazza della Repubblica by a high porch with a faux ashlar and antherid ashlar finish, which however does not continue on via Milano, where the façades show a simpler decorative apparatus.
